With her nursing degree in hand and a blossoming new relationship with Cade, Caroline Fontenot is finally happy. I loved the first book in this series enough to purchase this book. I am so sad that the third book isn't out yet, but maybe I'll get a bit of work done now. I have been so captivated by these two books that I really couldn't stop reading. The author surely does capture and hold my interest, as she weaves an incredible story. I don't ordinarily read paranormal fiction, so that makes it doubly surprising that I enjoyed this so much. The story is sexy without being explicit, and the love among the characters is refreshing. I applaud the strong support system among the friends and family members. The editing was very good with only a few errors such as "led" instead of "lead" in one case. The only disappointment with the story in my opinion was the fact that Caroline earned a degree in a discipline in which she was barely interested. She never used her training as a nurse in the story, and apparently didn't intend to use it after her marriage. Perhaps Ms. McDonough could remedy this in the third book in the series. I eagerly await the third book, and highly recommend the first two books in the series.Product details

I love this series! Can't wait to get the next book. Captivating and passionate. Love the references to New Orleans.
I liked it don't get me wrong, but while the passion and desires was great, and the introduction of new characters was okay. I just felt that there was too much emphasis on the small details rather then the actual storyline. Hoping it will pick up on the 3rd book.
This new author is growing! She is able to create stories and plots that will drag you in and keep you there. Her details make you feel like you are in the swamps of Louisianna. The only drawback is the dialogue. It seems a little weak and childish. Once Ms. McDonough gets that taken care of, she may be a bestseller.
The first book gripped me,this one was mind blowing! The author left us hanging again! Can't wait for the next one!
What a wonderful book. I would recommend this book to all my family and friends. Going on to the third book in the series.
I can't wait for, "Flatline", now! I am invested in the lives of Caroline and Cade, and their friends and family! Now the mystery surrounding their past and present is getting closer to being revealed! Ms. McDonough, brings her characters to life, they get into your heart. That is an important element for any writer to keep their readers interest, and this author does just that!
I just finished reading the first two books in a trilogy by Judy McDonough Deadline and Lifeline. She hasn't finished the third yet, and I can hardly wait. Each book can stand alone in that the main story line in each is resolved. However, each book also leaves you hanging until the next. When I began the first book, which is a free ebook by the way. I was immediately struck by her vivid descriptions. I hooked from the first sentence to the last. I highly recommend these. They are full of romance, adventure, and paranormal fun!
